Our Vision

Our Vision

To create and support a culture of mental health and equitable practice in the American theater.

Our Mission

To promote wellness in all spaces where theater is made through short term crisis mental health support, psycho-education, and mental health design for creative teams. We work at the level of the artist, the production, the season, and the organization.

Our Values

Our work is trauma-informed, equity centered, and embodied.

Can your creative community answer “Yes” to these questions?
If not, we can help.

Do staff and artists feel valued and supported?

Are roles, responsibilities and deadlines clear?

Is communication clear among teams, as well as between leadership and staff?

Are the artists involved in your productions equipped to navigate emotionally sensitive material?

Does your production team or organization have a protocol for handling crises or traumatic events?

Have there been any recent local or national events that the organization needs to address?

Why now?

Theater has always been a crucial part of creating and reflecting social change. We turn to theater to help us to reckon with personal and social transformations. In the midst of the divisiveness and discord of this time and place, theater has an essential role to play in reminding us of our common humanity. We need theater now more than ever.
